My memoir
The mother behind the mask
I am currently writing a memoir all about my journey bringing up Azaan, my son. Azaan has a neurological condition leaving him fighting for his life. This memoir is raw and fresh, bringing you in right from the moment Azaan was born. It covers the highs and lows of bringing up a medically complex child.

HarperCollins Author Academy
I was fortunate enough to be selected a place on the HarperCollins Author Academy through a competition. This was a six week course which gave me an enlightening insight into the industry of publishing, agents and becoming an author.
Readings
BBC Radio
I have been aired on Bristol BBC Radio several times where I have spoken about my journey bringing up Azaan. I have read my work on air, poems and extracts from my memoir. I was also nominated and shortlisted in the Carer Category with BBC Radio.
Novel Nights
I attend the monthly Novel Nights in Bristol, where the writing community come together to listen, read and network. I love receiving immediate feedback, theres something about reading to a live audience which appeals to me and gives me a buzz! Get involved, have a look on novelnights.co.uk!
